Yet I still find myself in shock after hearing about her latest exploit and I wonder when will she truly hit rock bottom because that might be the only thing to bring her to her senses. I hope.
On November 19th Jullya’s mother died of cancer and obviously Jullya was so distraught she wasn’t able to call anyone, not even my dad who happens to be her boyfriend of almost three years. I only knew because I called to check up on Granny not even a mere minute after she took her final breath. See Granny was a grandmother to me to so when I couldn’t see her I would try and call her at lest once a week.
Anyway we had the wake, the funeral, the luncheon, and all of that. Dad couldn’t make it because he was in D.C. but Colin came down and Jullya’s family was up (most are from Arkansas) so it was a nice, yet grief filled time. Unfortunately Granny isn’t the only one who passed during the beginnings of this years holiday season. The father of one of my brother’s friends (and my friend as well) passed away over the weekend from a heart attack.
Now this man’s son used to be a friend of my sisters until her sick mind and drug use cost her the friendship. So Jullya figured that Natalie ought to know about the passing so she called and left a message. I had just called her and Dad (they and the kids were coming home from D.C. as Jullya had driven there for Thanksgiving) and told Dad the news because they were friends.
Well once Natalie got the message she immediately calls Jullya back and proceeds to screech and cuss her out. It was all “f” this and “f” that and about how she was angry because she had to hear about Granny’s death from Dad and not from Jullya herself. That Jullya should have been the one to call.
The entire time that Jullya is telling me this I’m thinking that I’d love to wipe that ever present smirk off of my sisters face. And I am not a violent person. Natalie wasn’t even close to Granny, in fact she didn’t even do anything to help the entire time that Granny was sick! On top of that it was Jullya’s mother for crying out loud! Calling my sister after her mother had just died was not high on her list of priorities believe me.
But it doesn’t stop there, oh how I wish it did. My father and Jullya’s two young children both heard the exchange and then what does Natalie do? She calls my Dad on his phone and asks to borrow the van as she still doesn’t have a car! The nerve of her! The last time she used it the entire thing reeked of marijuana. It’s bad enough that she does drugs and sells them... ::sigh::
Now…as far as the guy from Barnes and Nobel is concerned… That sure was interesting! All I was doing was sitting there reading a book and waiting for Tom when I got a bit bored and decided to do a little people watching. The guy sitting a few seats away was wearing one of those newsie caps I simply adore so I complimented him on it. Next thing I know I’m pulled into a 45min conversation with him about everything under the sun. Turns out his sister was almost as bad as mine and his mom had died of cancer almost a year before mine. This freaked him out quite a bit. So then I get an email from him and it’s really long and filled with personal information that I didn’t need to know.
I forwarded the message to a friend and she said:
Maybe you should charge him by the hour and have him take you out... Obviously he is looking for someone to pour his life story to... And that comment means like a shrink...
Let’s just say I was very glad for Tom to show up so I wasn’t by myself in the store anymore.
Now on a totally unrelated note… I just saw the lamplight reflect off my cats gold colored eyes making them look like marbles... Totally cool!
